Graphic art is distinct from other art traditions because graphic art pieces:

2)Are designed with an intentional message for a specific target audience

You’ll become comfortable with the computer and other common digital technologies, such as the scanner, drawing tablets, inkjet printers, digital cameras. We will mostly use Adobe Photoshop, although some basic Adobe Illustrator skills may be taught.

This course will include:
•Basic drawing / illustration skills
•What makes for good design and how to use the Elements and Principles of Art & Design
•Design layout
•Typography (using type artistically and effectively)
•How to create and manipulate images effectively

Be sure to read through the entire course outline provided to you.

ALL assignments and exercises with corresponding information will be posted to this website, so please become familiar with it and checking here daily. Especially if you have missed a class.
